A little while back, I started to ask Taft about his dreams. I am sure that when we started these talks he had no idea what I was talking and asking about. I would talk to him while I was getting him dressed for school. I would ask, "Taft, what did you dream about last night?". He would respond with, "Ummmm.", as he smiled and looked at me to give him the answer. I tried to explain to him that I wanted to know if he thought about and saw things while he was asleep. Still not sure that he can understand that.
Lately, I believe that he has truly gotten the picture. The last few days that I have asked him this question, he has had answers for me. Sometimes he says that he dreams about his best friend, CJ. Other times it is Mickey Mouse or Toys (Toy Story), and this morning it was about his school.
I can't wait to see how these change as he grows and it able to express himself better verbally. I have a feeling that they will turn into so pretty great stories.
That's great! I ask Noah every morning and he always says what he thinks I want to hear, which is that he dreamed about Mommy and Daddy! But usually he'll add that he dreamed about a friend or his grandparents or a toy or movie, too. :) Love this age!
