Meet Our Compassion Children
This is Mohomad. He is 6 years old and lives in Sri Lanka. Taft refers to him as his brother.
We have so much fun talking about him and picking him up little stickers and coloring sheets when we are out shopping. He is a regular topic of conversation with Taft. He often asks to see his picture and asks questions about him.
We also have Correspondence Children:
These children are like Pen Pals. They have a sponsor that supports them financially but for whatever reason, they are unable or unwilling to write the child. I have found out that sometimes large businesses and corporations support a large number of children, but there is not one person assigned to those children.
Writing letters to the children provides them with the knowledge that someones cares about them. Someone other than family and Compassion employees at their center. I have read many testimonies to the fact that the children cherish these letters and small gifts.
If you sponsor a child and you enjoy the letter writing process, give Compassion a call and get on the waiting list for a correspondence child. If you like, you can request an age range and sex. If you sponsor a boy, add a girl for correspondence. Or do what we have done. We requested children and let God decide which ones we needed.
We treat them just like our sponsor child and sent out the same packets of goodies to each one. They truly will change your life.
