I now have to wait for her new book to come out. And I can't wait. I loved this book. From the moment I picked it up, I could not put it down and read it in a little over a day. It had the perfect mix of history, mystery, and love. Which all of Sarah Jio's novel have in common. I love Emily and Bee. Their relationship changes throughout the book and both come to terms with their pasts. It was a great read! *** If you love Sarah Jio, she has two books that I know of that are being published in 2013. The Last Camilla is coming in late May, and Morning Glory in November. I loved this book so much when I read it last year. I love the title as my daughter Violet was born in Mach last year :)

Oh. My. Word!!! I read Blackberry Winter before I read The Violets of March. Since I read them out of order, I didn't even realize that they were in both books.
DeleteI almost killed myself getting home today to grab my copy of BW (thankfully I have not taken it in to the used bookstore yet) to find the pages. I remembered about Claire going to the island for the day. I love that we found out what happened to Emily and Jack. And that there is anothe Evelym (Evie).
Thank you so much for mentioning it! I just didn't put the pieces together reading them out of publishing order. I love the sneaky way they show up to give closure to their story.

There is a running theme of adultry in the book. I am not sure what your group would feel about it, but I am sure that you do. I think that it is a great story of starting over and finding love when you aren't sure that you will ever be happy again.
