On Saturday, Gran and Aunt Rejene came to visit. It is a pretty long drive from Alabama to our house so they got here in the late afternoon. We had a nice dinner of Five Spice Ribs (that Gran LOVES), had a walk around the neighborhood, and spent some time out by the pool playing with the new sidewalk chalk that was given to Taft.
Aunt Rejene left this morning to visit her sister that also lives in Florida and Taft wanted to go to Kohl's with Gran. He had talked about it for a few days and Gran agreed that it was a good trip to take. So - we ate our pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and got dressed to go shopping.
Our first stop was Taft's favorite store, Kohl's. Gran and Taft picked a few outfits (Jumping Beans are one sale for $5.99) and a new pair of shoes.
Taft tried on a few pairs before decided on that nice white, red, and blue pair of Nike's (also on sale).
He also enjoyed trying on a few things that were not in his size but that he liked a lot.
We also went to Bealls Outlet and Wal*Mart. We picked up so groceries and dessert for tonight and headed home. Taft and Gran took a nap while I got started on some yummy Broccoli Chicken Casserole (a recipe that I will be sharing on Tuesday) and washed all the new clothes that the little darling got. He always likes to wear all the new items as soon as possible and loves picking out his own things.
Now it is almost time to end the day. I am going to work tomorrow but Shane and Taft are staying with Gran. Shane has a few things to do and that works out great since I know that Taft will enjoy some one on one time with Gran. On Tuesday, Taft is going to school and Gran will be able to get a little rest before Aunt Rejene comes back and they head home to Alabama on Wednesday.
