Stanley Pond Adventure Farm - October 24th

There really isn't a lot of Fall in Florida.  There are no pumpkin farms close to the beach.  I searched the internet and found a cute little farm in central Florida about 2 hours from our house.  We decided to go on Sunday.  It seemed like we drove forever on little country backrounds before finally finding our little farm.  It was really nice and not too crowded which I liked.  Those kind of places are nice for Taft and for us.  He can walk with us without me always afraid that he is getting lost.
As we walked up to the begining of the adventure, we passed the catfish pond where you can rent a pole and fish for a little while.  Taft's attention span is not long enough for that.  Then we saw mini-airboat.  It started up for a ride and Taft went crazy.  He was jumping and yelling.  Since he has a problem with somethings that are loud, I was afraid he wouldn't like it.  But when we asked him if he wanted to ride with Daddy, he said "Yes".  He put on his life jacket and little ear protection and was on his way.  He loved and still talks about it.
Taft also loved the little Cow Train. It was pretty cute. He saw the other kids take off and was laughing. He said he wanted to go and that he wanted to ride without Mommy. He ran up and picked the last cow in the line. He was waving at us as he took off for his ride and said he had fun. Our boy is growing up.
Taft also loved the little minature pony. The poor little thing was asleep almost the entire time we were there. They also had horses that you could ride. I saw that other parents were taking their little ones on the ride and the workers were just fine with that. Some places don't like you to have small children that you have to hold on a horse. I asked Taft if he wanted to ride and he was excited so Mommy rode with him. He loved it! Then he wanted to pet the horse and give it a kiss.

Then we had a little mini photo shot with Mommy and Daddy on the haybales in the pumpkin patch. taft looked and looked and finally picked a small pumpkin that he could pick up himself. It was pretty cute. He took it up to the nice lady to have it washed and to pay for it. We then went over to the little game area for small children. They had ring toss and bean nags. An older child was there and helped him out by showing him how to do it. It was pretty sweet. We had a great day and Taft was wiped out by all the fun.
