Taft will be 4 on June 2nd. That sounds like a long time away, but it really isn't. I am really happy about having a party this year. I think that it is the first year that he is old enough to understand about picking a theme and foods. We looked at a few themes (ones that I could stomach at least, no Sponge Bob please) and he loved the idea of pirates.

I love that they are pirates and still age appropriate. Taft says that his favorite color is red so he loves them too! They have cups, table cloths, and even a "Pin the Eyepatch on the Pirate" game.
Since the party will be outside by the pool, I want to have lots of balloons. I have to have these:
And I will mix in red and yellow with those.
Anyone have any great pirate themed foods of party ideas for 4 year olds?
