31 Days | Living Nativity & The Christmas Story

One thing that we have done each year since Taft was born is to go to the Living Nativity at Parkview Baptist Church. That happens to be our own church now and we are going to be in the cast one of the three nights. It is a very big event for the church and the community. Hundreds of people drive through and see the story of Jesus from birth to rising from the grave.

Do you have a similar tradition?  How do you tell the Christmas Story in your family?

This is part of a 31 day series.  Check out the other posts here.  And check out the other bloggers participating in this challenge here.

Live Nativity

For the past few years, we have gone to Parkview Baptist Church for their Live Nativity.  Each year it has gotten bigger and better.  It is a huge town event and the police have to direct traffic due to the huge amount of people that come out during the three nights they perform.
It is a drive through event.  You are greeted by Roman soldiers on horses and the city gates.  It then takes you on a trip from before Jesus was born to when he arose from the tomb.  This year, they even had a real baby Jesus.

Taft loved it as usual.  He loved the live animals and the one goat that kept "talking".  He loved the little baby and all the fire from the campfires then had set up.
