Get Well Soon Cards

If you read my blog occasionally or follow us on facebook, you know that Taft was a pretty sick little boy for the month of July.  We stated with a tummy virus and visit to the ER while on vacation.  He lost a lot of weight and his immune system was down.  He went to school for a day and then came home with 104 temp and the beginning of pneumonia.  He cold not catch a break!
His teacher and friends at school missed him so they made him Get Well Cards.  Here are a couple of my favorites:

I knew that I wanted to keep these for him since it was the first time (and hopefully the last) that a class full of friends had made him cards.  There are two many to add to his scrapbook without it add a ton of bulk.  I didn't like the idea of scanning these and printing as 4x6 photos either.  This is something that I want in its original form.
As I walked around in the school supply section, I found the perfect solution.  Avery Report Covers.  The construction paper is just the perfect size for these.  We punched holes and added the cards with his teacher's drawing as the cover.  Now they are protected, Taft can look at them, and they are ready to go in his memory box to keep for years to come.

Christmas Card Challenge @ Operation Write Home

This week's card challenge at Stamps and Stars was to make a Christmas themed card and I am linking up there.  I made these two.  Very simple but I love them.

Fall/Autumn Card Challenge @ Operation Write Home

I made these cards for Operation Write Home.  I am not a cardmaker at all, so these are very simple.  I do scrapbook so I am lucky to have A LOT of supplies on hand.
This week's challenge is to make Fall/Autumn themed cards.  Here are three that I have made tonight.  I scanned them and the color is not great.  I need to find a better way to photo them.  ;0
