I am a little behind with my Thursday photos.  I even took the photos during my lunch hour.  I guess I am lucky to have things so close to the office that are pretty.  These are from one of the retaining ponds.  I just had to be on the look out for alligators.

This Or That Thursday: Bottle Tree

My mother-in-law has a bottle tree in her yard.  She had told us about it but our trip to Alabama earlier this month was the first time that we saw it.
After my father-in-law died, the place that he worked gave her two trees to plant in his honor.  One is doing fine but the other died.  She decided that she would make it into a bottle tree.
Friends and family have brought her bottles (including the beer bottles that one of his friends brought for him to enjoy).  I think that my favorite is the pink one.  It looks so old and vintage.

Here are a few photos that I took while I was at home in Alabama.  They are of flowers around my grandmother's house.  I just loved the colors.

I am a little late with this post since we are traveling and now Taft is sick.  Here is out attempt at 4th of July photos taken in front of the Beulah United Methodist Church that sits across the road from me Mother-In-Law's house.

This or That Thursday

We got a LOT of rain with Tropical Storm Debby this week.  The office that I work at is on a little pond.  I walked over during lunch with the intention of taking pictures of the lily pads, and then I found this little friend.  He really isn't that little though.  He is about three inches long and he and his family are swimming around in the shallow water with hundreds of tadpoles.
