Quincy's Elfcapades So Far

Quincy arrived on December 1st just as planned.  He got his vacation all worked out with Santa and North Pole Industries so he is able to stay the until Christmas Eve.
He dropped in and brought some Santa Bubble Tape.

On 12/2, Quincy was found in the Christmas Tree.  It seems he was a little upset that I didn't get around to putting the decorations on the tree.  So - he went in Taft's room and got his undies.  He brought a nice book about Snowmen at Work.

On 12/3, we found Quincy in the playroom.  He used Taft's play kitchen to whip up some cookies while we were asleep. He brought Taft a nice SpongeBob Candy Cane.

I wonder what he will do next?

What Quincy Has Been Up To

Here is a little look at what that crazy elf, Quincy, has been up to this year.
Day 4 -  Quincy showed up in Taft's room with a surf board.  He also had on a pair of shorts and a tropical shirt.  The note said that he had been in Hawaii and brought Taft back a little gift.  Hawaiian Tropic Lip Balm.

Day 5 -  Quincy was on Taft's desk in the playroom.  He had a new Elf themed coloring book and crayons.  He had already colored a picture of a reindeer.
Day 6 - He was hiding underneath the sink in Taft's bathroom.  He had a little "aftershave" for him.
Day 7 - Quincy must have been tired.  He was resting in Taft's stocking with a snowman bubble gum gift.
Day 8 - We were getting ready to the movies to see Rise of the Guardians and Taft saw Quincy in my purse.  He had brought him his favorite movie candy, Skittles.  So we let Quincy see the movie too.
Day 9 - Quincy was taking a bubble bath in the sink in Taft's bathroom.  He had Elmo Color Tabs to use in the tub.  It looked like Quincy may have used some too since the marshmallows were different colors.

Elfcapades Day 10

Tonight, Quincy was playing school with Taft's Wonder Pet's and their school house.  He was using a new Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer notebook and pen.  Taft decided that they were really for him.

Elfcapades Day 3

Today we could not find Quincy before left for school.  And afer we got home, he was no where to be found.  So Taft and I worked on getting the lights and ornaments on his tree.  We thought that it looked great.
After Taft took his bath and watched a little television, we decided to look for him.  We finally found him trying to climb up the tree to put on a NEW ornament.
Quincy must know Taft really well since the new ornament is a Spongebob Ornament!

Elfcapades Day 2

Quincy got the memo that today is Christmas Tree Farm day!  I guess he wanted to help out by helping test the lights.  Poor little thing got a little tangled up though.
He did bring Taft some Starburst!  Yummy!

December Elfcapades Day 1

This morning Taft was very excited to see that Quincy was back!  He went to plug in the Christmas tree (which he does every morning) and there was a big surprise waiting!
Not only had Quincy rolled the tree in toilet paper, but he also wrapped his gift in it and finished it off with a bow.
Quincy is such a little stinker!  I hope that he brought the TP with him from the North Pole.  He better have not stolen ours.  He is going to be in big trouble.
Taft got a lovely Spongebob Candy Cane!  He said that it is so yummy.

Christmas Play at School

Today was Taft's play at school.  Last year, it was kinda a disaster.  His class came in to sing and he saw us in the back.  He started to cry and scream and didn't stop.  I think that all the parents there scared him.  He had no idea why they were there and he had no idea how to get to us.  Shane ended up down there with him and he never stopped crying.
This was such a difference.  It is amazing how much he has grown and changed in a year.  He has sang Christmas songs since Halloween.  (That's how long they have been working on their play).  His music teacher asked people to bring in Halloween costumes to use.  Taft took his and was very excited about being the UPS man again.  At the beginning of the week, Miss Erin told me that she thought Taft was going to be an elf instead.  She said that only the children that listened and would do their lines had been chosen and Taft was one of the three.  I talked to him about being an elf and he said he wanted to be the UPS man.  I told him that being than was very special and that I was so proud of him.  He also had to be talked to about the fact that another child was going to wear his UPS costume.
I was very lucky that I was able to take the day off work.  I took Taft to school and then I went home to work on some gifts for his friends.  I went back to the school at lunch to help Miss Erin with getting the kids fed and dressed for the play.  It was a lot of work and so much fun at the same time.  Those kids are a handful!  It is not a job that I would like to have but I do loving going to help when I can.
After getting the kids ready, I was able to sit them all down to read to them while Erin and Shane (he came a little early too) got the tables cleaned up from lunch.
I was able to get great close up photos of all the kids that I play on printing and putting in there cubbies for their parents.  All of them turned out great.  I think that Taft made the cutest elf ever!

December Daily - Day 9

First of all - I know that I skipped 8. We really didn't do anything yesterday. Nothing photo worthy or Christmas like. Quincy came and brought Taft a book with wiggly eyes and he loved it. Since this is all that really happened, I am going to reserve those pages in the album for sample/swatches of our wrapping paper for the year.Taft got a package today while he was asleep. I opened it and removed the items for Shane and I and put Taft's back in so that he could open it when he woke from his nap. He wasn't sure what to do with it at first but then he took out all the tissue paper and found his new ornaments from Gran. She sent him a sock monkey and Grinch for his tree. After he found them, he put them back in the box with the tissue and repeated this over and over. We will put the ornaments on his tree in the morning when I can get the ladder in to reach it.

Quincy Update and Taft with the Tree

Yesterday evening, Quincy struck again with more Christmas jammies. If I didn't know better I would think that Quincy got a 2 for 1 on those. =)This morning, Quincy brought a scratch and sniff snowman book. Taft wanted to look at it as soon as he could get it out. Then I had to read it to him twice before breakfast. It has pictures on one page of cookies and on the next of snow cones. He acted like he was picking up a cookie to eat and when I laughed he feed me one too. He did it again with the snow cone and repeated it all again when daddy read him the book later.
Taft and the tree - When we first brought in the tree, he didn't seem to notice. The next morning when it was decorated, he didn't care either. But since then he has really liked it. He wants to play with the ornaments and just stands there and looks at it. He unplugged it once and got in trouble. He knows that he is not suppose to bother it and when I sneak up on him he runs and pretends that he was not just there.
Here is is thinking that nobody knows he is thinking about taking an ornament for himself.
And here he is caught in the act. I can just hear him saying, "It's not what it looks like".
