Publisher, Schiffer Publishing
Hardcover, 224 pages

DESCRIPTION FROM GOODREADS:
History is brought to life in many historic houses, especially at Christmas time, when special decorations help to welcome the social season and visiting guests interpret Christmas traditions in some of the thirty specially decorated houses that are featured from across America.  Both magnificent estates and simple residences offer a variety of styles, tastes, and ideas to inspire your own celebrations.  See preserved buildings with illuminated gardens, inviting dining halls, and stunning interiors.  Enjoy the many efforts on display here that help to make the Christmas season a magical time of sharing, caring, and gratitude.

MY THOUGHTS:
This is a beautiful book.  The decorations in the houses are amazing.  I loved seeing the inside of some of historic houses that I will most likely never visit.  The detail to the decorations and the photography are wonderful.
Not only is the book about the Christmas season in classic homes, it also tells you historical facts along with a timeline of important events.
If you love history, or Christmas decorations, or architecture, this would be a great book for you.

This book is gorgeous!  The illustrations are so classical and from a time gone by.  The stories are truly seasonal classics that not only will children enjoy, but their parents will enjoy it also.
